Unlike rose quartz, which forms mostly as massive, these rare varieties of Pink quartz form in a standard 6 sided crystal with pointed terminations. They are generally found in clusters, with points ranging from small to very large.
This particular specimen has long crystals points as well as a few double points on a creamy white and pink matrix sprinkled with a touch of the red hematite. The specimen measures roughly 3 x 3 x 2 1/2″ and weighs 4.03 oz.
This quartz is extremely light and heat sensitive and may fade due to long exposure to sunlight or heat.
